Rules

Next to the Code of Honor the following rules apply to the competition.

Eligibility

• The challenge is open to everyone, including space experts, data-mining experts and citizen scientists.
• No nationality restrictions apply for the submission of solution files.

Winners

• The competition winner will be announced after the competition deadline as to evaluate the submissions over the whole test-set. As a consequence, the team on top of the leaderboard when the competition ends is not necessarily also the competition winner (but it has good chances to be!)
• The competition winner will receive the Hera mission patch and the official Hera mission polo!
• The competition winner will also have to possibility to participate to the Stardust-R final conference and have all fees paid including the gala dinner.
• The top three teams will receive the Kelvins "Certificate of Achievement" celebrating their achieved rank and signed by outstanding ESA authorities.

License

By submitting, the authors grant to ESA's Advanced Concepts Team a license to use the submission files for the purpose of verifying and publishing the challenge results.

Submission

• Before the competition deadline, solutions, notebooks and code snippets may only be shared publicly. Private sharing between teams is thus not allowed.
• The submission limit is two submissions within 24 hours per team.
• The leaderboard during the competition uses only a part of the submission data. The complete submission data will be evaluated after the competition ends to compute the final ranking.

Teams

• Every team must submit with only one account.
• Merging teams is not allowed.
• Each user can only participate with one team.
