The competition is over.

All data of this competition can be downloaded from our Zenodo once the competition starts.

The .zip file containing the dataset is organized as follows:

`lcvoldXXX.dat`

pre-impact lightcurves for all the different scenarios`lcvnewXXX.dat`

corresponding post-impact lightcurves`parameters.csv`

: a text-file containing \(\beta\), \(J_2\) and \(a/c\) parameters for the training scenarios (i.e. the first ones).

For the files describing lightcurves, the first column denotes the **time** (in minutes) while the second indicates the **normalized total luminosity** with 1 being the maximum.

Each row-index from `parameters.csv`

corresponds to the pre- and postimpact lightcurves (e.g. row 28 corresponds to `lcvold028.dat`

and `lcvnew028.dat`

).

The columns in `parameters.csv`

describe (in order) the following:

- value of the \(\beta\)-factor (>= 1)
- \(J_2\) value of the primary
- \(a/c\) axial ratio of the secondary

The goal of the competition is to reconstruct \(\beta\) and \(a/c\) for the test scenarios (i.e. those not in `parameters.csv`

). Reconstruction of \(J_2\) is not required.
